Versailles
Anne was kind enough to accompany me & the girls to a visit of Versailles and attend the “Grandes Eaux Musicales”. This means they turn the fountains on and play classical music throughout the garden’s public-address speakers. It was not supposed to mean that it would start raining in the middle of the afternoon. Here she is taking a picture of Suzanne and Andy in front of the central pond.
We walked a lot through the expensive expansive castle and gardens, then all the way down to the Queen’s Hamlet (pigs and dogs and sheep galore) and back up to the train station. Of course we got lost in bourgeois Versailles-city, and I even got in a little brawl with a drunken local. Fun Fun Fun!
At the end of the day we were all pretty exhausted, so we indulged in cheesy-crust pizza. I made the girls promise they would not tell anyone. ![]()
