Road Trip: Day 1

490 miles to Clovis, New Mexico.

Shortly after leaving, noticed the hood was shaking. Stopped to check and, sure enough, somehow it had been unlocked. Maybe the wind from a truck did that? Anyways… Stopped for Taco Bell in Brownwood. Continued to Abilene, saw some oil wells and wind turbines, missed the exit in Roscoe so continued to Colorado City, where I refueled and got some beef jerky. North to Lubbock, and on towards the border. The panhandle, this is where Texas literally stinks. Flys everywhere, one of them actually hitched a ride, forcing me to open to window and breathe the manure. Lovely. Thank god that’s over with…

Tomorrow I hope to make it to Flagstaff, Arizona.
