Road Trip: Finish

After 4 days and 1868 miles, I have arrived in Sunnyvale, California!

This morning I decided to take the scenic road, and drove west towards route 101 instead of north on yet another interstate: add 253 miles, an ocean-viewing stop in Santa Cruz, and a traffic jam on US 1 to the log.

The hotel is very nice and feels quite safe. I can see my car in the parking from the room’s balcony. Already got a little swim in the pool! Program for later today: making sure I know how to get to the Yahoo! campus tomorrow and finding the closest grocery store.

Glad to hear you made it Ok. Life has not changed here, except that it rained on Friday night.

We tried something different this time, I picked Dad up at noon and we had lunch. He loved the hot dogs and the ravioli. Starting earlier allowed us to teleconference with nancy eariler, and allowed Sylvia and I to go to a movie together this afternoon.

Tomorrow, I go back to work, and you start your first real day. Let us know how everything work out.

Takeaway… food?
I went to Albertson’s and bought stuff for laundry, dr pepper, chips and a microwave dinner: fried chicken + mashed potatoes + corn + a brownie… but once I oppened the box back in my room, I found that the chocolate fudge had leaked over to the other compartments… and I had no knive/fork… so I used chips as utensils.
